Why Business Credit Card Deals can be Great
Credit card deals are all over the place. From the small $500 credit limit card for the first time debtor or the student looking for an easy way to keep track of their monthly food budget all the way up to the gold and platinum cards with unlimited credit for the experienced debtor with the excellent credit history, good credit card deals as well as bad credit card deals are always available.
Credit cards come in one shape and size, but many different types, textures and varieties, all intended towards a target audience. The credit card business is really just a niche market and each new credit card developed and placed out into the market is designed to target one of those specific niche populations.
One specific niche market that has been gaining notoriety as well as population is the niche market of small businesses. More and more people are attempting to start their own business and one thing that small businesses could always use more of is money. In their ever-present nose for business and savvy for increasing their bottom line, the credit card companies and other money lenders have picked up on this and in an attempt to gain more of the small business pie have started to offer some great credit card deals to the owners of small businesses.
These types of credit card deals could be thought of as heaven by some and indeed there’s nothing wrong with that kind of thinking. The reason for this is that signing one or many small business credit card deals can not only make things easier on you as an owner, but it can actually also be advantageous to your business!
Here are seven ways how:
Way #1 – Business Cash Flow Concerns
Many businesses have problems with cash flow logistics. Whether or not this is specifically due to large purchases, the business day gap in moving cash from one place to another or any one of a number of other reasons is immaterial. The point is these problems exist and small business owners are going to have to deal with them one way or another. Before the advent of business credit card deals, the solution was to plan ahead and hope that no emergencies popped up; hardly a satisfactory method of dealing with things.
The new method is to use a small business credit card to make all your purchases. This not only makes it convenient and easy but also serves to free up the cash flow of your business, something that never hurts.
Way #2 – International Credit Card Use Concerns
Have you ever run into problems purchasing things from other countries for your small business? First there’s the hassle of having to order from outside your country, then the possibility of a language barrier and finally the vexing concern of how to transfer the money. Wire transfers are infamous for being used by scam artists and once the money’s gone there’s no way to get it back.
Enter the great credit card deal you’ve just made for your small business. All credit card deals offer the convenience inherent to credit card use. All you need to do is log onto a website, order your products with the click of a mouse, type in your credit card number and you’re good to go. Better still, if the site turns out to be a scam, you simply just initiate a chargeback. How much easier could it get?
Way #3 – Transaction Records Keeping Concerns
One thing that small business owners really hate doing is keeping records. Having to record every single little financial transaction is a severe pain and if they miss just one, chances are at the end of the month they’re going to have to spend hours tracking it down when they see a discrepancy between their accounts and their ledger. Those are hours that are essentially wasted and that could have been spent wooing a client, building contents or brainstorming new ideas for the business.
Small business credit card deals are great in this manner, because small business credit cards are like all credit card deals. This means that you either get a paper statement mailed to you monthly, or your statement is tracked online. No need to keep records, it’s all already done for you.
Way #4 – Employee Spending Concerns
Ever ask employees to make a purchase for you that you end up reimbursing later? Have you ever had trouble reimbursing them with cash? How about getting the receipt from them and being able to properly keep track of everything? No problem anymore with a credit card, because your employee can just use the company credit card to make the purchase. No reimbursements necessary and everything is automatically tracked by the aforementioned monthly statements.
Way #5 – Reward Programs
Bad credit card deals exist, but usually the ones for business credit cards do not fall into that category and one of the major reasons for that is because of the reward programs that they offer. Air miles points, cash back and insurance coverage are just three of the many different reward programs available, every single one of which can end up benefiting your company. Nothing in life is truly free, but some things come close and this is one of those things.
Way #6 – Interest Rates and Annual Fees
The two things that people hate most about credit cards. Well guess what? In many cases, money lenders are willing to make business credit card deals that remove both of them! You read that right, some money lenders will actually offer credit card deals with zero percent interest and no annual fees. They also offer high credit limits, making the whole package extremely attractive.
Way #7 – Your Credit Potential
Frustrated about the fact that you need credit to get credit catch 22? Noticed that it tends to be much more pronounced with small business loans because the money involved is usually much larger? Well, consider using a small business credit card as a possible alternative.
It won’t have a credit limit large enough to even come close to a bank loan, but consider that it would allow you to start building credit for your small business. Put all your expenses on that card and regularly pay it off and within a relatively short period of time, lenders will start to notice. Once this happens, you’re well on your way to eventually securing a larger loan and since that was your goal in the first place, everyone is happy.
Remember that good credit card deals exist everywhere; it’s just a matter of finding them. A small business credit card deal offers a wide range of advantages that one would never be able to even consider in a personal credit card and for this reason alone should be seriously considered as a viable financial tool for every new small business owner that is serious about making their business work.
